Stil is the brainchild of Dries and Viktorija, a Belgian-Latvian couple who tied the knot in 2018. Raised on a nearby farm, Dries has a life-long passion for sustainable business and promoting the local region. Viktorija is an avid traveller with a keen eye for artistic details and design.

The couple devised the idea upon spotting the perfect property for sale during the COVID lockdown era. Inspired by their travels, they set about creating a homely haven for adults to abscond the complexities of modern living. Masterfully designed interiors, authentic local experiences, and areas of quiet contemplation encapsulate this serene country escape

Dries’ sister Fien manages the property. Known for her warm, welcoming temperament, she handles all the bookings and promptly responds to enquiries. Guests can meet Fien in person during their complimentary breakfast at the Tafel Twaalf restaurant.

THE STIL CONCEPT

High-quality accommodation doesn’t have to match the grandeur of a sprawling seaside resort or stately country estate. Hosting just four bedrooms, our boutique stay is designed for seclusion-seeking adults to savour serene silence and reconnect with nature. This core concept aligns with the values of the family’s tight-knit business ecosystem, including the sustainable Het Waterland farm.

Autonomy is equally pivotal to the Stil experience. With no staff permanently on-site, guests experience a contactless stay from check-in to check-out. Our honesty bar-style loggia gives you the freedom to stock up on drinks and snacks as you please. Nonetheless, Fien is never more than a quick phone call away for any questions or concerns. Our hybrid approach, blending virtual hospitality with face-to-face contact (when required), makes for a more private, secluded escape.
