Spanning 800m2, the garden wraps around the property’s back, front, and sides. Expert landscape architect Peter Duerinck (Atelier Artisjok) designed this green enclave to complement the historic property and lush surrounding region.

Originally a vegetable garden, the space has been transformed into a relaxing sanctuary for guests to disconnect in a spectacular setting. Lush grasses, native flowers and verdant shrubbery scatter around the grounds. Weathering steel garden borders encircle the perimeter for a rustic, industrial touch.

These sprawling grounds host a multitude of tranquil alcoves, from the high terrace to the wellness patio and the open-air barbeque. Secluded spaces provide a private open-air retreat, while shared areas evoke a more communal experience.

Direct access to a verdant, cow-peppered pasture provides a closer connection to nature and rural Belgian life. Wander over to the “cow terrace,” a lofty patio for gazing at the herd below.

Come nighttime, ambient lighting illuminates the garden, creating a vivid atmosphere to pass a pleasant evening outdoors.

The Outdoor Sauna

This charming wood panel structure boasts a large panoramic window for soul-stirring garden and countryside views. Work up a sweat in the sauna, then cool off with a shower to refresh the senses.

Once you’ve reached a state of zen-like relaxation, retreat to the wellness room or take a seat on the outdoor terrace to admire verdant garden views.

The Wellness Room

Large aluminium-framed windows let natural light flood inside and afford sweeping garden views. The minimalist interior features cushy loungers and a refreshing shower for your upcoming sauna or hot tub soak. In the warmer months, our outdoor terrace provides a serene spot to quieten your mind amid beautiful rural views.

Next to the terrace lies a bubbling open-air hot tub, which uses geothermal and solar energy for a CO2-neutral soak. Although the tub has space for four, private bookings ensure exclusive access for a secluded experience.

The Kitchen

Located beside the Loggia, this stylish, well-equipped facility is ideal for whipping up a mouthwatering meal. Whether you’re preparing a fast, simple snack or a gourmet multi-course banquet, our kitchen lets your culinary creativity run wild.

A premium bulthaup workbench plus a plethora of modern appliances–a stove, combi oven, dishwasher, fridge, etc.–make for a hassle-free cooking experience. Once you’re ready, nestle into the long table in the loggia to feast on your freshly prepared meal.

The Loggia

Delicious regional snacks. Luscious artisanal drinks. Wholesome silent moments. Unwind and savour the quiet life in our custom-built loggia.

Elevated inches above the ground floor, our loggia—or voute room, as it’s known in Belgium—is a cosy communal space for refreshments and relaxation. A lovely extended table offers a comfortable space to sit back with a drink or snack while admiring the landscapes outside.

Our loggia offers a complimentary selection of quality tea and coffee, plus filtered tap water. Guests craving an alcoholic beverage can tuck into our curated wine selection or frothy craft beers (fees apply). We also offer a range of succulent local snacks, primarily sourced from prestigious local suppliers.

The loggia works on an honesty bar system, where you purchase items by scanning the QR code attached to the products and check out via your phone. Tafel Twaalf can deliver a tastebud-tantalising antipasti plate for dinner for guests who wish to dine inside our tranquil country home.

Bike storage and charging

Cycling is a popular pastime in the East Flanders region, where scenic roads straddle gurgling rivers and smooth pastoral lands.

We offer secured storage in a refurbished garage on the side of the house to accommodate keen cyclists. The space hosts charging stations for e-bikes.
